ITS A....GIRL!!!

YEAH! We are so excited!! Little Gracie Elizabeth Layton is due on May 21st 2009. Our appointment this morning was better than we ever expected. Given our last ultrasound experience with Baby Layton this one was incredible! She could not have been more perfect. The lady who was giving the ultrasound kept saying "Her heart is beautiful" or "She is beautiful" to everything. Gracie wasn't modest about exposing herself either! It was a clear shot. She told us the gender by writing on the computer "Daddy's Girl!!" I burst into tears (literally) of joy. It was so fun to watch her move around. She was even sucking her thumb!! After the appointment I went shopping for her. This was the BEST Christmas present EVER to know our baby girl is healthy!

Up All Night

Those of you who like the TV show Friends might enjoy this. Last night at 4 in the morning our fire alarm went off in the whole house. Why? We don't know so we went back to bed. 15 min later just the one in our room goes off again. We reset our battery thinking it might help, but no. Again about an hour later it goes off. The trend continued a couple more times and by 7:50am it was time to get up for church when it went off 2 more times. Needless to say I just woke up from a long nap. I felt like i was Pheobe last night. We think it might have been caused by the humidifier in our room.

Winter Night Walks

Zac and I have been taking walks at night. Crazy I know. We get all bundled up and head out with little Lily. We like to look at all the Christmas lights and get some good clean cold air into our lungs. Zac loves it because it reminds him of being on his mission for some reason. The best part is coming home and drinking yummy hot chocolate. I don't love driving in this weather, but I do enjoy this time of year.

Jaxson Turns One!

Jaxon (Emily and Dan's 3rd) Turned 1 this past week so we went to his birthday party. When we started to sing happy birthday he didn't like it so much hence the crying picture below. When he got his cake that quickly changed. Then he dug in! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX!!

Baby News and Christmas

I get it. Im a bad blogger. My mind seems to be completely occupied by the child growing inside me. I check all of your blogs daily to see what is new, but i cant seem to find anything interesting to blog about. But today I had my 16 week check. After another night of zero sleep we went to the Doctors this morning to hear the best sound on Earth! A good healthy heartbeat! Phew again! Zac has not been able to make it to my other appointments, but he came with me today and heard its heartbeat for the first time. He loved it and said it makes it so much more real.

On another note we put up our Christmas tree this past weekend. We are currently living in my parents basement apartment. Last year we went to Tai Pan and bought a beautiful big Christmas tree, but because of lack of space in our tiny living room we had to go without it this year. I was not about to give up putting up a Christmas tree so I went on a hunt in my moms house and found two little trees to decorate. They fit perfect!
