Happy Halloween!
We celebrated by Trick-or-treating down Main Street in Spanish Fork. Then we went to our ward party where we went trick-or-treating around the building then they had a costume parade. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Olson's house to their trunk-or-treat and then spent the rest of the evening there spending time with the fam. Needless to say our 1 1/2 year old has WAY too much candy and on my next free day (im on an 8 week challenge) I will be eating most of it :) Speaking of my challenge... I am so mad at myself. I was trying so hard to be good and not eat sugar today (which was terribly hard when its staring you in the face!) and so I made sugar free banana bread. I was trying to avoid losing a point for eating sugar and I accidently broke another rule by eating the banana bread past 8pm. UUUGGG! My perfect score is ruined!!!

I loved taking pictures of her costume from behind, I couldn't resist that big booty!

Pumpkin Carving

Family night fun!
This is about as close to the pumpkin goop as she would get
So, being the mean mom I am I tried to make her touch it
But she was safe in Daddy's arms
We put Gracie down to bed and finished our carvings
I did the owl, Zac did the weird man/cat and Gracie's got pokadots.

Beauty Shop

The other day at JCW's we introduced Gracie to fry sauce. We discovered she loved it when she started to suck on her french fries and then lick the bowl clean. Tonight we went to dinner with our good friends (the Bishop family) to Rib City Grill. We then discovered that its not only fry sauce its ANYTHING she can dip her fries into including ranch and Zac's baked beans. Well by the end of dinner sauce was all over her face and in her hair. Since we had already given her a bath and I was too lazy to give her another one I decided to wash her hair in the kitchen sink. (I have to admit this is not the first time I have done this)

I have to apologize to my readers ( or lack thereof, I do realize im wildly unpopular because of the vast amount of comments left) for having to read about my child every time I post. But because this blog is about the life of The Laytons, this is what your going to get. Right now my life revolves around a little girl and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Also, yesterday on our date night Zac and I went to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving point and I honestly felt like a child again. We had so much fun watching the pig races, Driving around tractor bikes, taking hay rides, going through the corn maze, and watching people look ridiculous on the mechanical bull. I wish I would have remembered my camera, but of course I forgot it. I highly recommend going. Today I went with him to the BYU game and after the rain let up it was quite an enjoyable time! I love spending time with the hubby!

needless to say she and I were exhausted by the end of our field trip.

Blog Worthy

Over a month ago I bought Gracie these golden shoes from Old Navy.
Shortly after I bought them one of them mysteriously disappeared. We looked high and low for this darn shoe but it was nowhere to be found and I was so frustrated! I knew Gracie must have thrown it into a garbage can and I threw the shoe away because that almost happened with a set of keys a few months ago. Or maybe it fell off her foot outside somewhere. So we gave up looking. Well the other day I saw Grace throw a comb into this vase we have...

Today while I was cleaning I reached my hand inside to get the comb and saw something shiny. Low and behold there it was!!! Its so silly of me to be so excited about a shoe, but I am SO happy I found it that i had to tell the world!

On another note, for family night this past Monday we went to a park and ate dinner and played with Gracie on the playground. We got some cute shots of the little gal while we were there.

I taught her how to make a fishy face. This one is a keeper.
Last but not least. I am doing this challenge and cant have any sugar. Well, i discovered that yogurt shops have sugar free yogurt and it is SO yummy! I get sugar free chocolate yogurt with strawberries and almond slivers on top. It hits the spot especially if you cut most sweets out of your diet. I'm guilty to admit I have had it 2 nights in a row.

I Can Do Hard Things

If you have been wondering where I have been lately I have no excuses for you. My most recent quest is a start to a healthier lifestyle. I am part of a challenge that hopefully will help me become a better me. I have 10 specific things i have to do daily to earn a point (e.i. exercise, journal write, drink 64oz water, no sugar, etc...) I am in my second week and really am loving it! Its amazing that I really can tell the difference in my self physically and mentally. I have never done anything like this before so its good to see that I actually have some self restraint and also motivation. Its an 8 week challenge and there may or may not be money involved for a little extra motivation :) Wish me luck because im 100% so far. I need your encouragement!

On another note I have a very busy 1 year old. I spend most the day cleaning up after her and trying to keep her busy. She is obsessed with Shrek and only wants to watch Shrek. Although she is sometimes very hard I have never loved a little person this much in my life! I don't know what my life would be like without my Gracie Girl. She keeps me laughing everyday.

I guess Ill post a picture because no one likes posts without pictures...

Grandma and Grandpa Olson took all the grand kids to the Zoo.
Grace LOVED all the animals
A personal favorite of me and my bug (if you are my friend on FB this pic should look familiar)
She loves her toes. I don't know what it is.
Trying on daddy's glasses
She loves her TV. Dont judge, I limit her TV time.
